Fairgrounds Improvements - Phase 1 - Coliseum Roofing Repairs

1. Removal of all existing ridge caps and installation of new 16-ounce copper ridge caps to match existing, see detail 2/a200 2. Installation of new valley splices at locations where existing valley panels have displaced downward, see detail 3/a200 3. Installation of copper patches at all punctures / holes / etc. In existing copper panels, see detail 1/a201 4. Installation of new copper seam covers where copper seams are damaged, see detail 2/a201 5. At all existing j-closure laps and approximately 6" upslope from lap, provide 3" drainage weep by cutting and folding existing j-closure down into valley, see detail 3/a201 6. Install new roof drain strainer at each drain, see sheet a202 7. Inspection and repair of all solder joints, as indicated by wje. Apply liquid water proofing at existing seams, see sheet a202 8. Removal of four panels on each side of the valley #37 to inspect and repair substrate, as necessary. If deteriorated sheathing continues upslope, removal of additional panels until sound substrate is found. For further investigation, remove cupola panels, as well as vertical grill. 9. Repair 3,500 sf of existing metal canopy panels with matching materials. Remove damaged panels, install 12" wide "w" panels (26 ga.), install new fascia and gutter. Reuse existing structural support. 10. Replace expansion joint and repair damaged roof of trademart connector at transition from north entry roof and along the length of the trademart roof adjacent to coliseum wall.
