Description

As of November 2022, a contractor has been identified, and it is confirmed to be under construction. West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the renovation of the Coworking facility The project consists of the renovation of an existing building with a total area of approximately 11,750 SF. The building is a Business Occupancy. The construction type is IIB as defined by the IBC and Type II 000 as defined by the NFPA. The project will consist of the interior renovation of the existing building to create offices and other associated spaces, demo of existing mansard roof, replacement of front facade, addition of new rear deck, and other work indicated in the Contract Documents. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
