Airport Perimeter Road Repair

The project includes Double Bituminous Surface Treatment (DBST) for approximately 38 tons of bituminous material and 340 tons of mineral aggregate to treat the airport perimeter road on the south side of the airport. Base stone shall be used for grading the existing perimeter road wherever necessary to create a smooth surface prior to the application of DBST. It is the policy of the Authority to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; 49 CFR, Part 21, related statutes and regulations to the end that no person shall be excluded from participation in or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin. Prospective bidders should read the instructions for preparing bids in the Project Specifications carefully before submitting their bids and must supply all the information required therein within the time limits specified. The successful bidder shall hold and save harmless the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority from liability in connection with patents. The undersigned Bidder agrees to complete the work described herein in 10 calendar days. The Bidder agrees, if deemed necessary by the Owner, to increase his schedule of operations in order to complete the work within the time stated and to the satisfaction of the Owner. Bids are required to remain open for acceptance or rejection for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening. Envelopes containing proposals must be sealed, addressed to the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority, Smyrna Airport, Smyrna, TN 37167, and marked with the Contractors name, Tennessee License Number, Classification, Expiration date and the following project title: Airport Perimeter Road Repair Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority The Authority reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informalities and technicalities in the bids received and to accept any bid which, in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the Authority.
