Milling and Overlay of Various City Streets Project

SCOPE OF WORK. Generally, the work under this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for Milling and Overlaying approximately 34,350 square yards of asphalt street surface, including the installation of approximately 5,245 tons of hot-mix asphalt at nine (9) locations in the City of Durango. All work shall be completed under the supervision and inspection of the Street Manager or his assigned agent. Any deviation from the standard specifications shall be approved, in writing, in advance. Any deviation from the standard specifications without prior authorization shall result in the immediate suspension of work, and possible termination of contract. The scheduled work period is tentatively (weather permitting) set for June 1st, 2021- October 30th, 2021 unless otherwise agreed upon by both the city of Durango, and the contractor. Project sites and specifications for each area: SO-1 Tech Center Drive Work shall include; Milling the lower 800 feet of 4-lane including milling 2” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2-1/4” hot mix asphalt mat.Milling upper 1,060 feet 3.75” below gutter and drain pans Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with two 2-” hot mix lifts of asphalt mat totaling 4” of new asphalt. Project area is approximately 8,200 SY – 1,500 Tons of asphalt SO-2 9th St from Narrow Gauge Ave train tracks) to E 2nd Ave Work shall include; Milling entire area including milling 2” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2-1/4” hot mix asphalt mat Project area is approximately 3,900 SY - 525 Tons of asphalt SO-3 Obrien Drive Work shall include; Milling entire area including milling 2” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2-1/4” hot mix asphalt mat Project area is approximately 1,700 SY - 225 Tons of asphalt SO-4 Mercury Village Drive from West Turner Drive, to a location 550 feet to the south Work shall include; Milling entire area including milling 2.25” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2.5” hot mix asphalt mat Project area is approximately 2,850 SY - 400 Tons of asphalt SO-5 Baker Lane Work shall include; A leveling course using up to 15 tons of asphalt in low existing low areas prior to milling in front of the access to Durango Joes. Milling entire area including milling 2.25” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2.5” hot mix asphalt mat Project area is approximately 3,800 SY - 530 Tons of asphalt SO-6 Rim Drive from Cr 239 at N. end of Golf Course Work shall include; A leveling course using up to 20 tons of asphalt prior to milling in existing low areas. Milling the lower 1,300 feet including milling 2” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2-1/4” hot mix asphalt mat. A leveling course using up to 20 tons of asphalt prior to milling in low areas. Milling upper 370 feet including curves 3.75” below gutter and drain pans Milling shall establish a consistent cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with two 2-” hot mix lifts of asphalt mat totaling 4” of new asphalt. Project area is approximately 7,000 SY – 1,150 Tons of asphalt SO-7 Oak Drive Work shall include; Milling entire area including milling 2” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2.25” hot mix asphalt mat Project area is approximately 5,300 SY - 700 Tons of asphalt SO-8__Elm Place Work shall include; Milling entire area including milling 2” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2.25” hot mix asphalt mat Project area is approximately 900 SY - 125 Tons of asphalt SO-9__Aspen Place Work shall include; Milling entire area including milling 2” below gutter and drain pans. Milling shall establish a consistent 2-5% cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with a single 2.25” hot mix asphalt mat. Project area is approximately 700 SY - 90 Tons of asphalt
