All Questions Regarding This Solicitation Must Be Submitted Through Ionwave; Any Questions Submitted via Email or by Telephone Will Not Be Accepted The County of Lexington is seeking sealed proposals from qualified vendors for the Replacement of the Roof at the Swansea Fire Station. The station is located at 350 W. 3rd Street, Swansea SC 29160 All inquiries concerning this RFP should be directed to: Melissa M. This information is based upon sampling of the existing roof system(s) and visual inspection and is provided as a courtesy to the Proposal Providers. Contractors are responsible for verifying existing construction. 2. Corrugated roof panel over open framing, purlins spaced an average of 5' on center. A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following (Numbered sequence is not necessarily indicative of workflow): 1. Roof Replacement a. Remove existing gutters and downspouts. b. Trim metal panels at eave in preparation for installation of new wood nailers. c. Install wood nailers at roof perimeter to match final insulation thickness. d. Install loose laid factory bevel cut polyisocyanurate insulation. e. Install second layer of 1.5" polyisocyanurate insulation. f. Install 1/2 " gypsum cover board. g. "Gang" screw all insulation components into existing metal roof panels. h. Install induction welded TPO roof membrane secured to purlins. i. Install new gutters and downspouts. j. Install new metal roof edges in compliance with ANSI-SPRI ES-1. k. After all work is complete, thoroughly clean roof surface of debris, and footprints. l. Contractors are responsible for all disconnection and reconnection of applicable equipment and are instructed to use only qualified, licensed personnel where applicable. m. Provide the owner with a manufacturer's 20-year non-prorated labor and material warranty. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. 1.5 ACCESS TO SITE A. General: Contractor shall have limited use of Project site for construction operations as indicated on Drawings by the Contract limits and as indicated by requirements of this Section. B. Use of Site: Limit use of Project site to areas within the Contract limits indicated. Do not disturb portions of Project site beyond areas in which the Work is indicated. |
