Solid Waste and White Goods Collection and Disposal

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 7975, Ch. 127. Bidders are also expected to comply with Chapter 33, P.L. 1977 . The bidder is cautioned that failure to provide a Business Registration Certificate will require mandatory rejection of their bid. The City Council of the City of Garfield reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality therein. All bids are irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Bidder shall submit with the bid a proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or a bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Garfield. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the bid proposal guarantee, if required herein, shall not exceed the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bidder shall submit with the bid a Certificate of Surety from a bonding company doing business in the State of New Jersey, and will be required to furnish a Performance-Material and Labor Bond as set forth in the specifications.
