Municipal Wastewater Residuals Disposal Services and Facilities

The City of Taunton Procurement Department, in conjunction with the Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals for the provision of Municipal Wastewater Residuals Disposal Services and Facilities to be located in the City of Taunton. The City of Taunton Procurement Department, in conjunction with the Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals for the provision of Municipal Wastewater Residuals Disposal Services and Facilities to be located in the City of Taunton. The City is offering for lease an approximately four (4) acre portion of the closed landfill site at 360 East Britannia Street, Taunton, MA for the potential development of a privately owned and operated municipal biosolids disposal facility. The preferred initial lease term is twenty (20) years. In the alternative, respondents may propose such a facility at their own site within the City. The facility will be the subject of a Host Community Agreement specifying a fee based on the volume of residual waste received at the facility in lieu of personal property tax pursuant to M.G.L. c. 16, sec. 24B, and a Lease Agreement for the four (4) acre site if said site is utilized for the facility. The City will consider all viable technologies for the facility. Further detail concerning the terms and conditions of the project and proposed transaction are available in the project documents. The City of Taunton reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject, any or all proposals, if it deems such waiver or rejection to be in the best interest of the City.
