Building 110 Renovation at Watervliet, NY

The New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to issue a Design-Bid-Build Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the construction of the Building 110 Renovation at Watervliet, NY. The following outlines the items that will be included within this design for Building 110. This includes items that will be included in the Base Bid and identified items that will be included as optional. The following items outline a list of the repairs to be included within this design for Building 110: • Design and Installation of Fire suppression system in its entirety including fire pump. • Replace all lighting and associated electrical wiring throughout Building 110 including deteriorated wiring leading to and from the lighting panel, exhaust fans and wiring, and lighting load center(s). • Replace windows and personnel egress doors and replace with new windows and doors while maintaining the historic nature of Building 110. • Renovate and provide new and supplemental bathrooms to make ADA/ABA compliant. • Repaint interior, including all ceilings, walls, and columns to improve the work environment. This will require scraping, cleaning, and painting of all surfaces to eliminate any issues of failing paint chips. All surfaces except underside off the roof have lead containing coatings requiring remediation.
