Question Deadline: 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2022 This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued to cover the cost to Sweetwater Authority for the removal and replacement of 11 (eleven) HVAC package units located on the rooftop of the Sweetwater Authority Administration Building, located at 505 Garrett Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91910. 4 - 7.5 Ton package Units (Unit 1, Unit 3, Unit 6, Unit 7) 4 - 3 Ton package Unit (Unit 4, Unit 5, Unit 10, Unit 11) 3 - 2 Ton package Units (Unit 2, Unit 8, Unit 9) This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued to cover the cost to Sweetwater Authority for the removal and replacement of six HVAC package units located on the rooftop of the Sweetwater Authority Administration Building, located at 505 Garrett Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91910. 3 - 7.5 Ton package Units (Unit 1, Unit 3, Unit 6) 2 - 3 Ton package Unit (Unit 4, Unit 5) 1 - 2 Ton package Unit (Unit 2) Any contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate the provisions of the State Labor Code. Compliance with the prevailing rates of wages and apprenticeship employment standards established by the State Director of Industrial Relations will be required. Copies of prevailing wage rates are on file and are available for inspection in the office of the Sweetwater Authority Engineering Department, 505 Garrett Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91910 or electronically. The successful bidder shall post a copy thereof at each job site. The Authority hereby places the Contractor and any subcontractors on notice of the penalty provisions of Labor Code Section 1775 for failure to comply with prevailing wage laws. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1771, prevailing wages do not apply to jobs under $1,000. The purpose of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be for bidding vendors to become familiar with requirements and the intent of the contract. No presentations are required. Following the PreBid Meeting attendees will be invited to walk through the building to become familiar with the scope of work, location, conditions, and restrictions. Remove and dispose of existing equipment according to EPA regulations 2. Supply and installation of new Carrier (or equal) rooftop gas electric package units 3. Transition new equipment to existing rooftop curb and electrical 4. Supply and install new digital programmable thermostat 5. Perform start up for proper operation 6. Lift equipment to and from rooftop by way of crane. Contractor to provide: o Four Carrier (or equal) 7.5-ton commercial package heating ventilation and air condition units o Four Carrier (or equal) 3-ton commercial package heating ventilation and air condition units o Three Carrier (or equal) 2-ton commercial package heating ventilation and air condition units o All units shall include factory coated Copper Coil/Copper Condenser o All units shall include heavy duty fans o All units shall be provided with minimum 15 SEER energy efficiency rating o Tonnage for each unit to match existing o Thermostat replacement with a lock-out feature for all units o Vendor to confirm that the existing roof curb mounts can be utilized
