Description | The Borough Clerk's Office will insure that the electronic documents are distributed; however, the Borough will not be responsible if a Bidder cannot download the documents. NO BIDS MAY BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY. Each bid must be submitted, in writing, on the bid pages furnished in the bid specifications to the maximum extent possible. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), must be submitted with the bid, guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract and deliver the bond(s) required by the bid documents. Cashier's check or certified checks shall be made payable to the Borough. The Bid Bond must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Environmental Protection Agency Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) as required by N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17 (g). A bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and the surety company shall be bound to furnish maintenance bonds, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price for work with a minimum value of $100,000. Consent of Surety to be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Environmental Protection Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) as required by N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17 (g). Bidders shall submit an original of their respective bids in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the words "Bid for Water Distribution System, Sanitary Sewer Systems & Storm Water Facilities Replacement/Repair/Maintenance Services" clearly visible on the outside thereof. All Bidders and any named subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act prior to the submittal of a bid, and Bidders shall submit the Public Works Contractor Registration for itself and all named subcontractors prior to the award of a contract by the Borough. Any unnamed subcontractor must be registered with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development prior to starting work. The successful Bidder shall submit copies of the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate(s) and Public Works Contractor Registration for itself and all subcontractors prior to award of a contract by the Borough. All Bidders and any named subcontractors must be registered with the Bidders must be registered with the New Jersey Division of Taxation prior to the date for the receipt of bids by the Borough. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids or waive any informalities therein pursuant to and in accordance with applicable law. |
