Description | Furnish materials, equipment, and labor necessary to replace existing sprinkler system at a designated area at Leihoku Elementary School. Replacement of irrigation system to include all irrigation lines, heads, valves, and boxes. A plot plan indicating irrigation replacement areas and description of any extra parts shall be attached. The contractor shall verify all existing conditions and type of irrigation materials prior to purchasing and starting the project. All new materials shall be same type and match the existing. All remaining soils left from the irrigation replacement work shall be redistributed in other low areas on the site and shall not be removed off site. All work shall be performed to industry standards, and all best management practices (BMP's) shall be followed with all current local and city and county building codes and regulations. All new work shall be free of Asbestos, Lead, Mercury, Chromate or Strontium Chromate. Any discrepancies, unforeseen conditions and or additional work request by school officials, the contractor shall contact and inform the project coordinator and provide written documentation along with pictures for any additional work approval via change order request. No payment shall be made to the Contractor for additional work without approval via emai General Requirements: The Contractor shall verify and document all existing conditions prior to starting the project. Any damage to existing utilities below grade and surrounding areas in close proximity to the project that are undocumented shall be repaired by the Contractor at no cost to the State of Hawaii Department of Education. The Contractor shall ensure adequate safety precautions to protect the surrounding structures, school personnel, and the public by providing temporary and maintaining high visibility barriers or signs for safety. Rubbish and debris (including fine dust) resulting from this project on all interior surfaces shall be properly disposed at the satisfaction of school officials and the Project Coordinator. All access soils shall not be removed from the property, and must be kept onsite. In addition, all workers shall dress and conduct themselves properly at all times.
