6923G221Q000009 BOWDITCH FIRING RANGE - Mechanical System Upgrade for Firing Range - US Merchant Marine Academy - Bowditch Hall: Contractor shall remove the rusted and deteriorated air handler casing located in the mechanical room adjacent to the firing range - existing mechanical systems serving the firing range located at Bowditch Hall include a heating, ventilation and air conditioning air handler with a capacity of 14,200 cfm and an exhaust fan with a capacity of 15,600 cfm - supply air from the air handler is introduced into the firing range behind the firing line with (20) 22x22 neck diffusers each with a capacity of 710 cfm - exhaust air is extracted from the rear of the firing range above the targets with (10) 24x10 open end ducts with wire mesh screens and volume dampers. Each duct is also equipped with a 36x24 99.97% high efficiency particulate air hood type filter with bottom access - contractor shall clean all supply air outlets in accordance with local EPA laws regarding the handling of dust containing lead particles - contractor shall inspect the existing air handler and exhaust fan and replace belts and adjust the pulley and sheave as required ensure the air handler and exhaust fans supply and exhaust the required specified amount of air. - contractor shall repair the leaking steam piping located above the main air handler - contactor shall adjust and balance each supply and exhaust air outlet to the specified air quantities above - contractor shall complete all work within 5 days after the notice to proceed
