Description | 2022 Pavement Patching &Chip Seal Application. The project consists of surfacing existing roadways with designated roadways receiving pavement patching and a chip seal with a fog seal treatment, and other designated roadways receiving only a fog seal treatment. The work takes place on various City of Sumner streets on the attached maps. The work is further described in the Exhibits and Plans attached with this Request for Bids. State Certification is required. Contractor must have proper certifications and licenses and follow all applicable Federal, State and Local codes and regulations. All work shall be completed in conformance with the 2022 WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, the current version of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and the City of Sumner Development Specifications and Standard Details.. This project is subject to all provisions of RCW 39.12. Pursuant to RCW 39.08.010, Payment and Performance Bond shall be required for this project. If the project is under $150,000, the contractor may submit a letter on the contractors letterhead stating the contractor is electing to have 10% withheld in lieu of a Payment and Performance Bond (See the attached Contract Sample under XV BOND) Work shall commence within thirty (10) calendar days after execution of the contract and the issuance of a notice to proceed; and shall be completed within fifteen (15) working days. The City of Sumner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities and to accept any bid if such action is believed to be in the best interest of the City. The engineer's estimate is between $325,000 and $340,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
