Description

a) General deck, and substructure concrete repairs: Removing and replacing deteriorated concrete on decks, parapets, abutments, pier caps, pedestals, and columns, and barrier misalignment in conformance with the Plans and Sections 400.20, 400.18, 405, and 420. b) Crack sealing on concrete decks and substructure units in conformance with the Plans and Sections 400.21 and 481. c) Epoxy Coating concrete bridge barriers and substructure units in conformance with the Plans and Section 400.22. d) Miscellaneous repairs to steel bridge components such as: girders, bolts, stiffeners, secondary members, utility supports, connections, and welds, in conformance with Sections 400.30, 400.31, 400.34, 400.33 through 400.35, 400.72, 400.81 and 430. e) Miscellaneous cleaning and painting of steel bridge superstructure components in conformance with Sections 400.70 and 400.73. f) Replacing elastomeric bearing pads, and miscellaneous repairs to bearings. These repairs may include jacking and modifying existing end diaphragms for jacking. Work will be in conformance with the Plans and Sections 400.32, 400.38, 400.39, 400.41, 400.43, 400.45, 400.46, 400.80 and 480. g) Bridge roadway joint seal replacement, joint reconstruction, sealing of joints in concrete approach pavements, Repair and replacement of parapet joints, and miscellaneous joint repairs in conformance with the Plans and Sections 400.15, 400.37, 400.50, 400.52, and 460. h) Removal of deteriorated metal stay-in-place deck forms in conformance with the Plans and Section 400.19. i) Repairs to slopes including rubbishing of settled and damaged concrete slopes, and addition of supplemental recycled concrete, and treating other areas of erosion with Class I Riprap in conformance with the Plans and Section 400.40, 400.62, 400.63 and 400.65. j) Miscellaneous repairs to bridge mounted chain link fencing such as replacing posts, rails, chainlink mesh, anchor bolts and nuts, and miscellaneous hardware in conformance with the Plans and Sections 400.26, 400.27, and 607.
