Any cost estimates or ranges listed are unofficial estimates to be used for searchability purposes only and do not necessarily reflect the actual budget of the project.*** Historic Restoration prequalification must be submitted to Albert & Robinson Architects, in accordance with Mississippi Department of Archives & History Mississippi Landmark Contractor Prequalification Criteria per SENATE BILL NO. 2368, Regular Session 2011, An Act to amend Section 31-7-13, Mississippi Code of 1972 (i.e., Involving the renovation or restoration, or both of any other historical building designated as a Mississippi Landmark.), for approval before plans and specifications will be released. General Contractor wishing to bid on this project shall provide evidence of the following: 1. Because of the sensitive nature of the project to be undertaken, the General Contractor must have demonstrated experience working with projects employing the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, as interpreted by the National Park Service and the Mississippi Department of Archives and History; 2. General Contractor shall submit documentation of successful completion of three (3) projects comparable in size and type of work with the proposed Mississippi landmark restoration project; 3. The General Contractor must demonstrate that he/she has a track record of completing work within the Contract time. Provide five (5) examples with references; 4. The General Contractor has completed the cited projects without incurring legal disputes or serious problems with or complaints from the project architect and/or managing agency in regard to his/her knowledge of preservation/restoration standards; 5. The General Contractor's company demonstrates that it employs office personnel capable of completing the legally required documentation in the State Construction System; 6. The General Contractor will submit the resume' of the proposed Project Superintendent for the construction of the project advertised. |
