Description

No bids shall be received other than at the time and place herein designated for their receipt, unless mailed to the Township Clerk for receipt at the designated time and place. Bidders are required to submit one (1) original copy. Each bid shall be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope addressed to the Township Clerk, bearing the name and address of the bidder, upon which shall be designated. Written questions regarding the bid specifications may be submitted to the Bozena Lacina, Township Clerk, at 430 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey 07076 on or before April 21, 2023. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), must be submitted with the bid guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract. Bidders must also submit a Consent of Surety with the bid, wherein the Surety agrees to furnish a performance bond if the Bidder is awarded the contract. The successful bidder shall be required to submit a Performance Bond in a sum equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the full amount of the contract. Such Performance Bond must be furnished by the successful bidder simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 and all other applicable statutes, laws or regulations. Bidders are required to submit a valid Business Registration Certificate from the State of New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2. By Order of the Township of Scotch Plains, in the County of Union and State of New Jersey.
