Description | Construct Fowler Park Spray Ground/ Splash Pad for 56th FSS.UKE AFB FOWLER PARK SPECIFICATIONS 1.2.1. BASE BID: Provide and install Spray Ground area in Fowler Park. Provide new elliptical 42 ft. x 72 ft. water play area with a 5-ft wide sidewalk (total area including sidewalk is 52 ft. x 82 ft.). Install equipment for the water play area to include all utility support such as water supply, drainage, electrical and pump house as described in SOW below. Bid shall be line item estimate organized by CSI division for government review. 1.2.1.1.1. BID OPTION 01: Construct fabric shade canopy over the entire spray ground. Fabric canopy shall be designed by a structural engineer and stamped IFC drawings provided for government review. Shade shall cover the spray ground footprint and be designed/built in accordance with latest International Building Code standards and all applicable UFC/UFGS criteria to include ASCE 7-10 and UFC 3-301-01. Wind load design will meet the minimum requirements below and shall be verified by the designer for Luke Air Force Base. Wind Velocity, 3-sec gust: 115 mph (Designer Verify) Wind Exposure Category: C (Designer Verify) IFC drawings for Bid Option 1 shall include footing design based on soil characteristics, and structural layout. Design analysis shall show all design calculations required and applicable code references for government review. Fabric shades shall be durable weather resistant fabric to withstand wind loads required. Shades shall be able to be removed and replaced for maintenance. Sunshade shall meet color and style requirements as outlined in Luke’s Installation Facility Standards (IFS) Guide at https://www.wbdg.org/ffc/af-afcec/installation-facilities-standards-ifs/luke-afb-ifs. Shades shall be at minimum 12 feet above finished grade of spray ground. Bid shall be line item estimate organized by CSI division for government review. 1.2.1.1.2. BID OPTION 02: Plant four (4) mature 2”- 4” caliper Chilean or Velvet mesquite trees around perimeter of spray ground. Trees shall be installed in accordance with nursery planting requirements and a one year warranty shall be provided to the government for trees provided. Irrigation will be installed to provide drip irrigation to trees capable of providing adequate water needed to ensure trees can thrive where planted. Existing sprinkler lines in the area can be reconfigured to provide irrigation to trees. A basic shop drawing showing where existing irrigation will be tied into and layout of new irrigation to include material type and size to be shown on the drawing. Bid shall be line item estimate organized by CSI division for government review. 1.2.1.1.3. BID OPTION 03: Provide six (6) durable bench seating areas for spray ground patrons that will be immovable and easily cleaned. Benches shall be at least 6 feet in length and be made of steel construction with a UV resistant plastic coating. Seating must conform to architectural styles as outlined in Luke’s IFS. Bid shall be line item estimate organized by CSI division for government review. |
