Description

Contractors to submit bids for residential improvements specifically at 223 South 2nd Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY 10550. Windows: ? The Contractor shall supply all materials, labor and equipment necessary to remove the existing windows, and to install new wood double-hung, replacement windows where specified. All effort shall be made to match the existing windows as close as possible. ? In addition, all exterior storm windows where applicable shall be removed and disposed of as part of this installation. ? Once windows are installed, all exposed exterior window casings, sills, stops, etc. will be paint stabilized with encapsulating paint, and one coat of Benjamin Moore exterior latex paint or approved equal. ? All wood components in a deteriorated state are to be repaired & or replaced by the contractor prior to paint stabilization. ? The entire window shall then be caulked in all joints and seams. ? On the interior of the window, all casing, sills, stops, mullions and aprons shall be encapsulated with white encapsulating paint and then painted with one coat of white Benjamin Moore latex semi-gloss paint or approved equal. ? Windows to be Contractor new double-hung tilt wash, Auralast Pine windows with Low-E glass & mesh screen by Jeld Wen (CWD3552). ? Contractor to measure all windows & openings prior to ordering any windows & be responsible for final measurements. ? All replacement windows shall have a max U Value of .35 or lower. ? All debris associated with this installation shall be removed from the premises. Soffits, Fascia / Rake Board: ? The Contractor shall supply all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to paint stabilize the specified: ? Any deteriorated wood components are to be repaired & or replaced with like material prior to paint stabilization. ? Siding color shall be chosen by the homeowner. ? All seams/joints to be caulked/sealed. ? All debris associated with the above installation shall be removed from the premises. Paint: ? Latex caulk shall be applied to all seams & joints where applicable. ? Interior paint shall be manufactured by Benjamin Moore or approved equal. ? Exterior paint shall be manufactured by Benjamin Moore or approved equal. ? Encapsulating paint shall be “INSL-X” Lead Block or approved equal.
