Description

**As of February 15, 2023 this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 17, 2023.** 22005 Picayune Multipurpose Westside and Southside. 1. Project Locations : a. West Side Elementary : 111 Kirkwood Street, Picayune, MS 39466. b. South Side Lower Elementary : 400 S Beech Street, Picayune, MS 39466. This project includes the construction of two (2) covered slabs for the purposes of outdoor education. This includes: pouring slab, pouring new sidewalk, demoing existing fence as necessary to provide a new vehicle gate, providing a new concrete drive, rerouting existing underground drainage, tying new downspouts into underground drainage, constructing a pre-engineered metal building structure, installing new metal roofing and metal wall panels, installing new gutters and downspouts, providing CMU wrapping for PEMB structure, installing new lighting, and installing new outlets at each column wrap. 2. This project is funded by ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) Federal Funding. Bid Documents will only be made available to plan holders as entire documents. Partial sets will not be issued. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company name, Company address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder. Envelopes not so marked are submitted at the risk of the bidder as the Owner and Architect assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope by any employee of the Owner or Architect. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: 1. In addition, Electronic bids may be submitted through the website www.dalebaileyplans. com. Electronic bids are not required by the Picayune School District but offered as another means to submit a bid. Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Picayune School District, 706 Goodyear Blvd., Picayune, MS 39466. C. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute a contract and post-Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner. D. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. B. The owner reserves the right to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to ninety (90) days. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
