Description A. Litter removal shall be performed on designated County streets and roadway sides. B. Litter is defined as any trash, waste, rubbish, foreign debris and/or manmade products discarded throughout the area that does not belong in the natural setting. This include, but is not limited to, paper goods, glass, plastic products, wrappers, bottles, cans, nails. All bulky litter items including, but is not limited to mattresses, household garbage, furniture, pallets, televisions, tires, building materials, and scrap metal shall be brought to the curve by the Contractor for pick-up by the Department of Beautification. C. The Contractor shall provide all labor, safety, materials, litter bags, supplies, tools, transportation equipment, and anything else necessary for the performance of high-quality litter removal at the locations listed in these specifications. D. The Contractor shall maintain the designated areas/locations in a manner that results in a clean and satisfactory, free of litter, garbage, refuse, and other debris in accordance with the specifications herein. E. The Contractor shall properly bag all litter from all designated locations and bring them to the curve for pick up by the Beautification Department. F. The Contractor shall complete the litter removal operations in such a manner so as not to damage the existing ground areas or roadside obstacles. G. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safety and the conduct of hired personnel at all times within the project area. H. The Contractor personnel shall wear safety vests at all designated locations. 1. The Contractor shall provide and place litter removal work signs for all designated locations. Signs must be visible to the public. J. The Contractor shall assign a crew of five (5) personnel to work on each designated location. K. The Contractor shall properly schedule his/her crew of five (5) personnel to complete litter removal services for a minimum of 4 locations per each eight (8) hours day. Litter removal services on all twelve (12) designated locations as outlined in each group shall be completed weekly. L. The Contractor shall complete and submit the Quality Review Form (attached herein as Attachment I. for each completed designated location, along with before and after pictures within 48 hours after completion of each designated location.
