Brunswick Effluent Transmission Main Repair Project

As of June 21, 2022 this bid has been cancelled. Bids received were over the available budget. Plans to rebid the project have not been established at this time. The deadline for bid proposals was May 3, 2022, at 11:00am, at which time, no proposals were received. As a result, the City is prepared to award a contract directly, without competitive bidding. Carson City hereby provides such notice and will award the contract for this project to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to submit proposal on or before May 17, 2022 by no later than 11:00am, there will not be a public opening. Submit response through the link on the City's website https://carson.org/bids. If no such bid is received, Carson City may make a direct award without further notice. The project includes draining the transmission main, removing and replacing one 2-inch air/vacuum valve, four 4-inch air/vacuum valves, one 8-inch air/vacuum release valve, two 8-inch butterfly valves, four 4-inch butterfly valves, two 20-inch butterfly valves, removing and replacing six manhole tops and lids with 60" flat-top manhole with 36" access, removing and replacing up to three 8-inch butterfly valves on the blow-off assemblies, removing and replacing up to two 4-inch butterfly valves on the pig launching stations, asphalt work, and associated work. It is noted that Carson City will provide the air/vacuum valves and butterfly valves to be installed by the contractor. The project includes all common phases of construction customarily associated with this type of project. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: Carson City has determined that the responsive bidder must possess a minimum of a Class A with appropriate sub-classifications or subcontractors. All Contractor's license shall be in good standing and issued by the Nevada State Contractor's Board at the time of the bid. Question Cuttoff Date & Time 12/7/2022 02:00:00 PM (ET) The project includes removing and replacing air release valve assemblies at 6 locations along the Brunswick Effluent Transmission Main. The Contractor will be required to remove and replace the manhole flat top and manhole cover the assembly is located within and replace the air release valves, butterfly valve, and other associated appurtenances as indicated on the drawings.
