Description

The project consists of reconfiguring the entrance to Purgatory Chasm and work will be focused on the west side of Purgatory Road for this Phase of work. Parking along Purgatory Road will be altered, HMA paving, grading, soil and vegetative restoration areas, wood guardrail, drinking fountain, and tree plantings. Other work includes stabilized aggregate paving, site furnishings, two boardwalks with railings and overlooks, foot bridges, signage, lawn, drainage swales and ditches, and planting of native vegetation. These improvements will provide improved accessibility in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
