Natural Science Center Lab 360 BSL -3 Renovation

To renovate the existing Natural Science Center (NSC) 360 Laboratory, which currently functions as a BSL 2 laboratory, into a suite of rooms to function as a BSL 3 laboratory. The lab will include three (3) laboratory spaces, two (2) animal holding rooms, two (2) procedure rooms, entry airlock and a pair of pass through sterilizers. Total area of the existing group of rooms (excluding mechanical support space) is approximately 1,800 square feet. The area occupied by this lab once housed a BSL 4 cabinet laboratory and adjacent BSL 3 laboratory, therefore some of the infrastructure required to support a BSL 3 laboratory is already in place. It is assumed that existing air handling equipment and exhaust fans that previously served the cabinet lab will be used to serve the new BSL 3 however new HEPA filter(s) will be required.

Division 21 -	Fire Suppression.
Division 22 -	Plumbing.
Division 23 -	Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Instrumentation and Control for HVAC, HVAC Air Distribution.
Division 26 -	Electrical, Lighting.
