Description

The City of New Smyrna Beach, Florida is soliciting Invitation to Bid ITB 12-19-CIP City Hall Annex Renovation & Restoration Project to select a qualified General Contractor to be responsible for the overall construction of site improvements, as well as all interior and exterior renovations of the existing 1929 historic structure to be converted into City Offices as well as new City Commission Chambers. The awarded general contractor shall be responsible for: • all structural improvements, roof replacements, specialty masonry improvements and all other necessary exterior envelope improvements required by the contract documents • the replacement of all windows and doors as per the specified details approved by the Historic Preservation Committee (approved by HPC on 11/14/18) • all interior build out scopes of work including but not limited to: repair and replacement of interior load bearing and non-loadbearing walls, including the installation of all insulation, acoustic, and drywall materials as specified in the contract documents • all mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations as well as the installation and commissioning of a proposed elevator. In addition, the general contractor shall also be responsible for the construction of all exterior site, drainage, landscape, irrigation, signage and lighting improvements as specified in the contract documents. As part of the site improvements, the contractor will be responsible for the street open cuts meeting all requirements. Contractor is required to pay all fees pertaining to: Building Permit (City) Impact Fees (City and utilities commission) Connection Fees for utilities (through the Utilities Commission) Meter fees (through the Utilities Commission) Third party material testing and certification (concrete, steel, etc.)
