Description | Question Deadline 08/04/2023 at 2:00 PM PT Per the owner, as of March 27, 2023, they are in the midst of their design-builder selection. The owner states that they should be short-listing firms to proceed into the design-build competition later this week. The owner states that the competition is a five-month process and they will not make a final selection until the end of August 2023. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ................ The vision for the project is to advance research and innovation for sustainable agriculture here in California. The main goal is to provide a minimum of 30,000 GSF of facilities to allow for the development of next generation technologies in agricultural research, by-product development, maximizing water efficiency, and preparing tomorrows leaders in the field. The Work shall include all design work, labor, material, tools, equipment, excavation, shoring, testing, inspection, commissioning and all necessary general conditions that may be reasonably inferred from the Contract Documents to provide all Design Work and Construction Work for the following facilities. Prospective proposers desiring to be prequalified are informed that they will be subject to and must fully comply with all of the proposal conditions including 100 percent payment and 100 percent performance bonds. The project will adhere to University of California sustainability policy to achieve a targeted Energy Use Intensity (EUI) rating and attain a minimum of LEED v4 GOLD certification and strive for LEED v4 Platinum. PROPOSAL SCHEDULE Following is the anticipated proposal schedule: 1. Proposal Documents available to the prequalified proposers - March 2023. 2. Proposals received - August 2023. 3. Proposals evaluated and the apparent low proposal determined - September 2023. The exact dates, times, and location will be set forth in an Announcement to Prequalified Proposers. |
