Description | a) It is the purpose and intent of these Specifications to describe the minimum requirements for meter boxes to be used by Water Division and other Department within the City of Fresno. (b) All items not specifically mentioned which are required for a complete unit shall be included in the unit bid price. (c) All equipment and accessories to be furnished must be new and in current production. All products shall conform in design, strength, quality of material and workmanship to current industry standards. (d) Each bid shall be accompanied by a copy of any applicable manufacturer's Published Price List or website, and two copies of the manufacturer's descriptive literature and specifications or website, including a copy of the manufacturer's standard warranty. (e) All equipment and accessories shall comply with regulations of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA), whichever is more restrictive. This Contract will be used primarily by Water Division. The Contract term is for ONE (1) YEAR, with provisions for FOUR (4) one-year extensions.Q&A Deadline 09/20/2022 5:00 PM (PDT) All proposals must be made on the Bid Proposal Form provided by the Purchasing Manager. A Bid Deposit, which can be provided separately, in the amount of TEN PERCENT (10%) of the Total Net Bid Amount (or, in bids with Add Alternates, the highest possible combination of the Base Bid Plus Add Alternates) in the form of a certified cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit, or a certificate of deposit or a bidder's bond executed by a corporate surety, admitted by the California Insurance Commissioner to do business in California, payable and acceptable to the City of Fresno; or the Bidder shall have registered with the Purchasing Manager of the City an annual bid bond sufficient to provide coverage in such amount. Bid Deposits will be refunded after a Contract has been executed with the successful Bidder or all bids have been rejected. Copies of Bid Deposits may be submitted electronically, with the exception of a cashier's check, which must be brought to the Purchasing Manager's office and labeled accordingly with bid number prior to the bid opening. The City of Fresno hereby notifies all Bidders that no person shall be excluded from participation in, denied any benefits of, or otherwise discriminated against in connection with the award and performance of any contract on the basis of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, marital status, sex, age, sexual orientation, or on any other basis prohibited by law. Services of an interpreter and additional accommodations can be made available. Requests for accommodations should be made at least five working days but no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting/event.
