A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Perform architectural finish restoration on multiple material surfaces in the interior of the University Chapel. The University and its Department of Facilities Management - Capital Construction & Renovations (the University) seek a qualified firm to perform architectural finish restoration on multiple material surfaces in the interior of the University Chapel. The qualified firm will demonstrate significant experience with architectural conservation/restoration in historic structures, with specific expertise in 19th century Gothic Revival church settings. Familiarity with material properties of wood, sandstone, brick, and granite is required. The successful firm will: Perform architectural finish restoration work detailed in University Chapel Lighting and Finish Renovation Construction Documents (CD), found in the link below, this includes these major elements but is not limited to: Wainscot, chair rail, and baseboard Interior doors and trim Wood ceiling elements Carved wood heads Brick arches Brownstone column capitals Aberdeen granite columns Pre-proposal Questions: Any questions concerning this RFP must be sent to the buyer listed below no later than 4:00 P.M., Friday, September 16, 2022, in order to guarantee a timely response prior to the proposal due date. Negotiations: Negotiations, if needed, will be held the week of October 10, 2022 Expected Award Date: October 20, 2022 Notice to Proceed with work beginning on or about January 23, 2023 Substantial Completion of Project: May 26, 2023 Term of Agreement: The term of a resulting Agreement or Purchase Order will be for five years, with the ability to renew on the same or similar terms and conditions, for an additional five-year period if mutually agreeable to the University and the Selected Firm. The Selected Firm and the University will mutually agree at least 180 days prior to each renewal period whether to renew the terms of the Agreement. The University may offer agreements for on demand work to firms that propose but are not awarded the project.
