Description | This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Warmwater Aquaculture Research Unit. Stoneville, MS location has a requirement to furnish equipment, labor, and supplies to reform (3) WARU Pond Facility ponds, one (1) of approximately 1.5 acres (Pond 200 in the image below) AND two (2) of approximately 1.0 acres each (Ponds 34 & 35). Work shall include moving sediment from the pond bottoms and relocating it to reform the pond banks and levees. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the services to be performed in strict accordance as described in attached Statement of Work (SOW). The location of this project is U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Warmwater Aquaculture Research Unit, 250 Experiment Station Road, Stoneville, MS. USDA/ARS/SEA intends to issue a firm fixed price construction purchase order. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors with a size standard of $16.5M. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or around August 5, 2022. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of the projectis estimated to be below $25,000.00 During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions during site visit. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFQ package and any amendments. All offerors shall be registered with the System for Award Management Registration per FAR Clause 52.204-7 and 52.204-8. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed, and telephone requests will not be honored.This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Quotation (RFQ). This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for bid/quotation preparation costs. The statement of work is attached to this notice for information only. The full RFQ, applicable provisions/clauses, wage rates, etc. will be posted when the full RFQ solicitation is released. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. |
