RFP - Stagecoach Area Drainage Master Plan (ADMP)

The following is a Scope of Work (SOW) for the Stagecoach Area Drainage Master Plan (ADMP). The Stagecoach area is located West of Silver Springs area. Development pressures are increasing in this area. The area south of Highway 50 has some Zone A flood zones but there are no floodplain maps for the north portion of Stagecoach. There is still open space in the Stagecoach area which makes this area perfect to conduct an ADMP before development occurs on the alluvial fans. The rough service area for the Stagecoach study is approximately 83 square miles (Figure 1) The Carson Water Subconservancy District (CWSD) will retain an engineering firm to evaluate the needed infrastructure to reduce the number of properties and structures located in flood areas and other shallow flooding areas. The firm will need to identify current flow paths and propose recommendations as to which flow paths need to remain open to reduce future flooding. There are some Zone A flood maps in the southern portion of Stagecoach; however, CWSD anticipates that new LiDAR will be needed as well as complete new hydrology and hydraulics.
