Description | 2022 Private Water Lead Laterals Replacement Project The Work for which Bids are asked includes the following: Private Water Lead Laterals Replacement Project - The proposed project will include replacement of the 14 water laterals located private properties (12 laterals are located along East Ave, 1 lateral is at 210 N. Main Street and 1 lateral is at 120 Prospect Avenue). The work includes but is not limited to; excavation of the existing ground, connection to the existing curb stop, installing new water line, coring through foundation wall, connection new line to a Village water meter within residential house (residential plumbing), abandoning existing buried lateral in place, backfilling as needed, site restoration to restore the project site to preconstruction conditions. Requests for paper sets are to be accompanied by the General Engineering Plan Request Form (PRF). The form is available on the company website or at its office. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner. This project may be funded in part by funds from the Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program and the America Rescue Plan Act. All contract work for this project shall be subject to Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) and federal wage determinations. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract and E.O. 11246. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), and Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) are encouraged to submit bid proposals. Contracted work may require fulfillment of Buy America guidelines and will include the "Use ofAmerican Iron and Steel" provision. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met, and waivers are required. |
