Remodel of the Health Department

Hughes County Health Department District 6 is accepting bids on a Construction Remodel of the Health Department. Demolition of old clerical desk. Demolition of wall between file room and clerical area. New walls will be added, one to create a hallway for the clerical and nursing to utilize, and the others to meet privacy guidelines. Old water fountain will need to be removed and then the walls/trim repaired to match the rest of the room. Remove old flooring to match the flooring in the lobby. Move various electrical components, including outlets, phone jacks, ethernet jacks, a thermostat in the wall and old clerical stations. Ceiling tile transition from the rectangle to square may need to be addressed when the wall between clerical and fi le room is removed. Sprinkler system will need to be moved to accommodate the new wall. All new clerical desks will be built, they will include plenty of desk & drawer spaces as well as a sliding window. Each station will have privacy walls on the clerical and patient side, to accommodate privacy regulations. The clerical stations will be fl oor to ceiling. On the patient side there will be a desk for the patient to sit and handle business. New cabinets will be utilized for patient chart storage as well as clerical supply storage, half will be pantry style cabinets and the other half will be top and bottom cabinets with a counter top. The pantry style cabinets will be locking to meet guidelines. Two electrical outlets will be added in the new cabinet area. In the middle of the new clerical room will an island style work bench.
