Palmer Park PIckle Ball Courts

It is the intent of this project to reconstruct two basketball Courts and four tennis courts at Palmer Park in Skippack Township in the following way: 1. 2 Basketball courts to remain basketball courts 2. 2 Tennis courts to remain tennis courts 3. 1 Tennis court to be converted to 2 Pickleball courts 4. 1 Tennis court to be dual purpose tennis and pickleball 5. The existing fencing is to be removed and replaced with new 1. Tennis Court – The work for this item includes the cost of all required material, labor, and equipment required to complete the reconstruction of the tennis courts by milling the existing asphalt material and distributing the material as stone base placement of 2” of asphalt base course (25mm), placement of 1.5” of asphalt top course (9.5mm), graded by a laser grade control system. After the paving has cured, four coats of (Plexichrome/Plexipave), two coats of primer/resurfacer and two coats of color (blue/green); followed by the application of two coats of 2” white playing lines. New posts, nets, center straps, and striping to be completed in accordance with the specifications of the United States Tennis Association. 2. Basketball Court – The work for this item includes the cost of all required material, labor, and equipment required to complete the reconstruction of the basketball court by milling the existing asphalt material and distributing the material as stone base, placement of 2” of asphalt base course (25mm), placement of 1.5” of asphalt top course (9.5mm), graded by a laser grade control system. After the asphalt has cured four coats of (Plexichrome/Plexipave). Two coats of primer/resurfacer and two coats of color (blue/green) followed by the application of two coats of 2” white playing lines. New posts, backboards, rims, nets and striping to be installed in accordance with the specifications of the National Basketball Association. 3. Pickleball Court – The work for this item includes the cost of all required material, labor, and equipment required to complete the reconstruction of the pickleball court by milling the existing asphalt material and distributing the material as stone base, placement of 2” of asphalt base course (25mm), placement of 1.5” of asphalt top course (9.5mm), graded by a laser grade control system. After the asphalt has cured four coats of (Plexichrome/Plexipave), two coats of primer/resurfacer and two coats of color (blue/green), followed by the application of two coats of 2” white playing lines. New posts, and nets, and striping to be installed in accordance with the specifications of the United States Pickleball Association. 4. Dual Purpose Court – The work for this item includes the cost of all required material, labor, and equipment required to complete the reconstruction of the dual purpose court by milling the existing asphalt material and distributing the material as stone base, placement of 2” of asphalt base course (25mm), placement of 1.5” of asphalt top course (9.5mm), graded by a laser grade control system. After the asphalt has cured, four coats of (Plexichrome/Plexipave), two coats of primer/resurfacer and two coats of color (blue/green) followed by the application of two coats of 2” white playing lines. Portable nets are also to be supplied to Skippack Township that meet the specifications of the Unites States Tennis Association, and the Unites States Pickleball Association.
