Community Garden at Floyd Farms

The work to be performed under these Special Provisions consists of developing a community garden at Floyd Elementary School in Sacramento at 401 McClatchy Way. The improvements will consist of developing a new City managed 0.4-acre Community Garden. The work includes a temporary construction fence, erosion control grading, drainage, a new water tap, backflow preventer, 6’ chain link fencing, 12’ double tubular steel gates, 6’ pedestrian tube steel gate, entry sign, , and a hose bid irrigation system for the new Community Garden, raised concrete curbs and concrete header, concrete flatwork and concrete pads, stabilized decomposed granite paving, import garden soil, a 10’ x 12’ tuff Shed, compost bids, and benches. The new work in the existing Urban Farm consists of installing a new quick coupler irrigation system, which will be connected to the existing Urban Farm irrigation mainline. The Estimated Construction Cost,$483,113.00 base bid, $571,234.00.
