Description

Contractor will be responsible for sound testing all spaces to help provide the most accurate design and provide the VA results. Must work via relay with the Biamp Vocia overhead paging system for code drop out of the sound. Contractor will be responsible for all infection control containment, which will include plastic tarping, clean shoe mats, and HEPA filter vacuums. Contractor must be willing to work evenings and weekends to accomplish this work. Provide project management and a reliable schedule. Provide proof of a working system at another hospital. Design must be approved by biomedical engineer. All cabling installed will be testing and test reports provided to the VA. All cabling can be installed on J hooks or cable trays provided by the VA. All fiber shall be provided by the VA. If additional racks in telecom closets are required, VA will provide those racks. VA will get to choose which building receives sound masking first. All penetrations will be filled in with fire caulking. 10% spare parts will also be provided for the main components of the system End user training will be provided to each unit. Technician troubleshooting training will also be provided. Electronic As builds will also be provided to the VA. This will be a standalone network with no interface with the VA network. A workstation will be installed in Biomed, and the server will be installed in building G. Mental Health Inpatient Unit Building H Floor 2. System must be controllable to at least room level in offices, conference rooms, and group therapy rooms. Quantity of 14 rooms. Average square footage for this room is 135 sq. ft. Largest space is 202 sq. ft. System must be controllable at the nurse’s station at the multi-purpose common spaces and hallways. QTY 23. Largest space is 1304 sq. System must NOT be installed in patient rooms or physical exam rooms. oordination in this area will be well planned and organized with the staff prior to starting since this is an inpatient area. Workers will stay in at least pairs for safety reasons. All tools will always be attended and out of reach of any patient. No devices installed will provide ligature-risk points for patients. Space is not carpeted. Space has hard ceilings. Mental Health Psychology Outpatient & Dialysis Outpatient Building G 3rd floor. Work will be completed in evenings or weekends. System will be controllable to individual offices in the psychology unit. QTY 24
