NAWS (Northwest Area Water Supply) Pipeline Project

CONTRACT 2-4D All bidders planning on attending the meeting shall send an invite request, via email, with the subject "NAWS Westhope Pre-Bid" to Joe Reiter at jreiter@houstoneng.com prior to 5 p.m. on October 19, 2022. Invites shall be sent to the sending email address of the request. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Prospective prime Bidders are not required to attend and participate in the conference. Project Category Code: Buildings Rehabilitation/Renovation, Electrical and Controls, Water Transmission Pipelines, Demolition/Building Removal/Hauling/Salvage, Water Resources Infrastructure, Directional Drilling Description: The scope of Work generally consists of the following: Mobilization; transport one (1) existing master meter/rate of flow control valve station transported from Minot to Westhope; flow control station improvements, concrete foundation, mechanical piping, electrical and controls, and site work; 4,083 linear feet of 6 inch C900 DR 18 PVC water main; 160 linear feet of 6 inch PVC water main installed by HDD; three (3) Type I (2-Lane) Steel-Cased Road Crossings; one (1) All Seasons Rural Water System connection; one (1) City of Westhope Water System connection; one (1) combination air release/air vacuum valve manhole assembly; two (2) gate valves with boxes; one (1) flush hydrant assembly; recycled asphalt and gravel surfacing removal and replacement, pipeline markers; site grading, erosion control; seeding; and incidental items. Each bid shall be submitted on a form furnished as part of the contract documents and must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder's Bond with Acknowledgement of Surety in an amount not less than 5% of the full amount of the bid made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the North Dakota State Water Commission. The bid bond shall be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Dakota, conditioned that if the principal's Bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, within ten (10) days after Notice of Award, the Principal shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and contractor's performance and payment bonds as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the North Dakota State Water Commission. A bid submitted without this information properly enclosed in the bid bond envelope shall not be read nor considered and the envelope shall be resealed, and bid returned to the bidder immediately. Each bid shall be sealed and delivered to the North Dakota State Water Commission at the location designated in this notice for the opening of bids at or before the time in this notice provided. -Prospective prime Bidders are not required to attend and participate in the conference.
