Description

NWS-USACE, Chief Joseph Dam (CJD) Hydropower Project is seeking Contractors capable of supplying a complete temperature and waste heat monitoring system for install, to ensure environmental impacts of heat added into the Columbia River are monitored and minimized. This system will require sensors to be installed at several cooling water influent and effluent points, to monitor temperature as well as some indication of flow (boolean yes/no or flow rate monitoring where possible). The system must collect this data through distributed programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or data acquisition (DAQ) modules, to then be recorded on a central collection server. The system must also allow for client workstations to connect to the server for purposes of generating reports and accessing historical data. To be considered eligible, suppliers must demonstrate equipment, assembled as a system, meets the criteria requirements outlined below, to include operating fully without false alarms or discharge while operational.
