Description | The Swansea Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Front Entry Doors and Pediment Replacement - Phase 1 in Swansea, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by RGB Architects. The Project consists of: Removal and installation of Fiberglass entry doors and frames at the front and rear. This work requires asbestos abatement activities. Add Alternate #1 is to repair and refinish the existing front entry pediments. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Swansea Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 10.4% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. The Work under the Contract consists of: 1. The Project consists of: Removal and installation of Fiberglass entry doors and frames at the front and rear. This work requires asbestos abatement activities. Add Alternate #1 is to repair and refinish the existing front entry pediments. 2. All Work either shown on the Drawings or included in the Specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done. B. In addition, the Work under the Contract includes: 1. Work outside the Project Site as called for in the Contract Documents and as required for the performance of the Work. 2. The restoration of any items damaged or destroyed by encroaching upon areas outside the Project Site. 3. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities |
