Description | City of Chicago Heights Advertisement for Bids Demolition of one commercial - residential structure in Chicago Heights The City of Chicago Heights does hereby invite sealed bids for the asbestos removal, demolition, clean up and lot leveling and greening of the commercial structure located at: 305 East 14th Street (Rt.30), Chicago Heights, IL (PIN#32-21-211-035-0000) Bidder should submit a single bid proposal for the total cumulative cost for the asbestos removal and complete demolition of the structure. An asbestos inspection report will be provided with the demolition specifications. In furtherance of this policy, please provide information that may assist the City in determining your qualifications under said plan and policy. The full text of said ordinance and policy is available at the office of the Chicago Heights City Clerk. This a "Public Works" project under Illinois Law and will be subject to the Prevailing Wage Act and Low Responsible Bidder Ordinance. All bids must include a copy of bidders Department of Labor Certificate reflecting participation in the DOL's Apprenticeship Program. The City of Chicago Heights reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities, if to do so is in the best interest of the City. Pursuant to Chapter II, Article VI - Sections 2-235/2-239 of the City of Chicago Heights Code of Ordinances, it is the policy of the City of Chicago Heights to promote and encourage the continuing economic development of minority, female and persons with disabilities owned and operated businesses in the City's procurement process as both the prime and subcontractors. |
