Description | NAICS Code: 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction The 108th Wing intends to issue an Invitation for Bids to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to Repair Flooring in building 3390 on JB McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. This project has three phases. The first phase involves removing existing carpet on the second floor hallways, offices, and open office areas. Install approximately 14,500 sf of LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) style flooring. Replace existing cove-base, approximately 1,100 to 1,650 lf, removed for new flooring installation. Replace or install ten smooth aluminum thresholds required for existing STC doors. The second phase involves removing approximately 1,600 sf of existing vinyl tile, located near elevator and adjacent hallways, and replacing with new LVT style flooring. Replace existing cove-base, approximately 245 lf, removed for new flooring installation. The third phase involves removing and replacing the carpet in the Auditorium, stage, as well as the carpet on the vertical face of the stage. Replace approximately 760 sf of carpet with new carpet tiles or LVT style flooring, determined by the user. Replace stage vertical face with 80 sf of prefinished wood paneling. Replace existing cove-base, approximately 180 lf, remove for new flooring installation. Provide new transition strips, approximately 160 lf, between new flooring and seating areas. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220, with a size standard of $39,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. Your attention is directed to FAR Clause 52.219-14(e)(3) (DEVIATION 2019-00003), LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING, which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror/ Contractor agrees in performance of the contract in the case of a contract for General construction, it will not pay more than 85 percent of the amount paid by the Government for contract performance, excluding the cost of materials, to subcontractors that are not similarly situated entities. Any work that a similarly situated entity further subcontracts will count toward the 85 percent subcontract amount that cannot be exceeded". The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on-or-about 27 June 2022. The tentative date for the pre-bid conference is on-or-about 13 July 2022, 10:00AM local time, location will be in solicitation. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow conference registration and base access requirements shown in the solicitation. A site visit will follow the pre-bid conference. The bid opening date is scheduled for on-or about 27 July 2022. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation.
