Description | Repairs will be completed as follows: A. Remove temporary patch. This patch generally is 9a crushed stone or a cold patch over a base of 9a crushed stone. Note: contractor will be required to remove and properly dispose of temporary patch material. B. Restabilize existing subbase a depth of 6" - 9". C. Bring area up to grade with adequate base material. (Contractor may reuse crushed stone from temporary patch only if it is suitable and in appropriate condition.) D. All patch areas will have straight perimeter edges, using cement saw if necessary. E. All exposed edges must have a tack coat applied to enhance bonding. Tack application shall be heat rate consistent with practice of the trade. F. Apply asphalt or concrete resurface. G. In accordance with Michigan Department of Transportation specifications, latestedition H. In accordance with and consistent with generally accepted trade standards. I. Contractor shall be responsible for construction material testing. J. All crack sealing should be performed in compliance to MOOT Section 502, HMA Crack Treatment. K. Contractor shall begin work within a 2-4 week period of the time upon obtaining authorization to proceed with the repair work. |
