Description

Further information may be obtained by calling the Director of Facilities and Capital Improvements, Mr. Robert Donahue at (201) 358-7004 x 22021. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and delivered to Mr. Yas Usami at 28 West Grand Ave., Suite 2, Montvale, NJ 07645, with the name of the project, "Structural repairs at room 107 at Pascack Valley High School" plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act as to the Bidder and all subcontractors. All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. and may be funded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the SDA, which, if applicable, will be available for inspection at the Board office during business hours. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days from the opening of the bids. The Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing and addressed and forwarded to the Architect's office. Work includes the installation of a new steel beam and two steel columns and associated work at Pascack Valley High School located at 200 Piermont Ave. Hillsdale, NJ 07642. The construction drawings are dated 8/24/23. All work of this project is to take place at night and on weekends, holidays, or school closings. Night work hours will commence at 3:30 PM and conclude at 11:30 PM. B. Work includes structural and general construction.
