RFQ Design - Housing Developer

Habitat for Humanity of Conyers/Rockdale, Inc. Request for Housing Developer Qualifications Community Home Investment Program (CHIP) Habitat for Humanity of Conyers/Rockdale, Inc. (HHCR) is pre-qualifying an experienced housing developer for its 2021 federally funded CHIP new construction single family housing development project. The HHCR has funding available to construct approximately three (3) single-family homes. This program is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) via the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and will be subject to all federal program requirements and CHIP policies and procedures. The Housing Developer will act as the Construction Manager for the project and must have at least five (5) years in extensive housing rehabilitation/reconstruction and/or new housing construction management experience. The responsibilities of the Housing Developer is to prepare bid packages, invite building contractors to bid, announce bid opening, select and notify the winning bidder, hold preconstruction meeting, execute construction contract, issue the notice of commencement. Request inspections bids and reports, change orders, request final inspection reports and provide release of liens from contractors, etc. Selected Housing Developer is required to have at least $1,000,000 in general liability insurance and have financial capabilities.
