Landscaping Restoration Project at CHAT

This project involves the removal of exotic invasive plant species and plastic matting and stakes, and the restoration of the area with native plant species. The site lies along Hwy 20 at the Chattahoochee River in Sugar Hill, Gwinnett County, Georgia. It is 0.93 acres of steeply sloped land adjacent to the highway. Landscaping must take into consideration the proximity to the highway, the steep slope, and naturalizing of the area using local ecotype plant material. Due to the steepness of the slope plant material must be low growing and maintenance-free. If the slope requires stabilizing, jute, coir, or other natural materials may be installed.
