West County Swim Center - P579900 - Anne Arundel County

This project is to design and construct an aquatic center for the West Planning Area for recreational and competitive swimming. The site for this facility is currently being determined through a preliminary planning study being performed within Capital Project P452500 - R &P Project Planning. Funding provided in this project for FY20 will be used to develop schematic plans and cost estimates, and to gather public input on the proposed facility. Future phases of design and construction, and corresponding budget requests will be based on the results of the schematic planning phase. As of August 24, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2028 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2024. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
