Salvage/Scrap Metal and Equipment

Bidders may quote a price for all items. Upon acceptance of a bid, the Alachua County Housing Authority will notify the successful party whom will then have five (5) calendar days to submit a cashier's check or money order in the full amount of the bid and remove the items. Failure to submit payment and/or remove the items as required may result in rejection of the bid and possible acceptance of the next highest acceptable bid. Failure to pick up items after payment and as arranged may result in forfeiture of any monies paid. Under no circumstances will the bidder be permitted to remove the items prior to full payment being received. Sale shall be final with no refunds granted. Equipment is sold as- with no warranties expressed or implied including, but not limited to, warranty for fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability. All hazardous waste has been removed from the a/c items; however the awardee shall be responsible for appropriate handling of said items. Refrigerators may still contain refrigerant. It shall be the responsibility of the bidding parties to make themselves aware of the conditions of any item being bid on and the potential for hazardous materials within.
