North Clarksville Water Treatment Plant

Work to be performed under this Contract shall generally consist of following major work items: 1. Construction of a raw water pump station on Cumberland River, including an intake screen located in river, micro-tunnel from screen into a dry pit submersible raw water pump station, a pre-engineered metal building to house pump station ancillary equipment, and a separate pre-engineered metal building to house electrical components. 2. Construction of a pre-oxidation basin with geodesic dome cover, four flocculation basins, and four sedimentation basins. Flocculation and sedimentation basins shall be covered with a pre-engineered metal building with retractable solar screens. 3. Construction of a pre-engineered metal pretreatment building to house a polyaluminum chloride storage and feed system and associated flash mix pumps and appurtenances. 4. Construction of a pre-engineered metal building to house four new microfiltration membrane treatment units and associated chemicals and appurtenances, high service pumps, and membrane feed pumps. A pre-engineered metal Administration Building shall be attached to Membrane building comprising mainly offices, control and server rooms, restrooms and showers, and laboratory areas (including laboratory gas storage). 5. Construction of a pre-engineered metal building to house pressurized granular activated carbon (GAC) contactors. 6. Construction of a masonry building to house a fluoride feed system. 7. Construction of an above-ground, pre-stressed concrete clearwell. 8. Construction of a two-story concrete and masonry building to house solids handling equipment including centrifuges, centrifuge feed pumps, and polymer feed equipment and a drive-through truck bay. Solids handling facility shall also have a control room, restroom and shower, and laboratory. 9. Construction of gravity thickener tanks, process waste pump station to receive all process residuals for conveyance to thickeners, and a backwash recovery pump station for recycling membrane backwash, GAC backwash, centrifuge centrate, and thickener decant to pre-oxidation basin. 10. Construction of a pre-engineered metal building to house maintenance equipment. 11. Construction of backup power generator stations (one at raw water pump station and one at main water plant site). 12. Construction of all associated civil, process, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and instrumentation systems required for new facilities.
