Construction, Engineering and Inspection Services for the Underline - Phases 3 - 9

Provide Construction, Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for contract administration, inspection, and materials sampling and testing in support of The Underline - Phases 3 through 9 (from approximately SW 19th Avenue to Dadeland Boulevard) Project (the “Project”). The complex nature of the project requires a multidisciplinary approach to manage it. This will ensure it is constructed to meet specifications. Specialists in structural and electrical engineering, amongst others, will be required to supervise the work. Current staff does not have the experience that encompasses all the needed disciplines. As a result, the CEI will work as an extension of staff in helping to manage this project. Furthermore, the CEI will provide the required reporting and permits inspections as stipulated in the permits conditions of the various agencies having jurisdiction over the work. County staff will be assigned to manage the overall project and CEI. The Project consists of a linear mobility corridor below the existing Metrorail. The project will include approximately 7.36 miles of improvements that consist of paved off-street bicycle and pedestrian paths, two pedestrian/bicycle bridges over small waterways/canals, landscaping, site furniture and equipment, way finding signage, pavement markings, intersection improvements, lighting, drainage, and reconfiguration of parking lots.
