Description

Question Deadline : 12/19/2022 2:00 PM All questions and communications about this request for Proposal and submission requirements must be directed to the City of Waterbury ProcureWare website. 22-42647 State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g, as amended. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals replace boilers and associated infrastructure as required for a fully functioning and integrated system with the existing to remain building components for the International Dual Language School: a. Anticipated Project Scope: -Removal and legal disposal of existing boilers, water heaters, heat exchangers, ductwork, piping, radiators, condensate pumps, expansion tanks, and all associated components as indicated in the drawings. -Removal and legal disposal of existing boiler control panels, light fixtures, and associated wiring. -Procure, deliver, and install new equipment and associated infrastructure for a complete and functioning system as indicated in the drawings and specifications, including but not limited to the following: a) Hydronic baseboard heaters b) Hot water pumps c) Variable speed boiler pumps d) Expansion tanks e) Air separators f) Boilers g) Water heaters h) Magnetic separators i) Electrical panels j) Light fixtures -Coordinate with existing natural gas piping as indicated in the drawings and as required by Eversource Gas Services. -Provide new boiler management system meeting performance criteria and capabilities as depicted in the project specifications and M501. -Maintain fire rating assemblies at existing conditions from demolition through substantial completion. Provide new fire caulking and infill construction as required for proper installation. -All warranty, close-out, commissioning, or maintenance of equipment as indicated in drawings and specifications. -Removal and legal disposal of all packing materials, crating and other materials used for delivery and installation. -Repair, clean and turn-over all impacted existing to remain areas to proper functioning condition
