Backflow Preventer Repairs

Qualified vendors must complete this work and are required to obtain a permit through the City of Jacksonville Plumbing Inspection Division. Backflow preventer replacements shall be completed following the manufacturers' installation instructions and any additional instructions approved by JEA. The Qualified Vendor must use only JEA-approved devices. Once repairs are made, the vendor will retest the backflow preventer and submit the results to JEA, who will need to confirm that your device complies with the requirements. Backflow preventers must be installed on the customer's property within 10 feet of the JEA meter and following manufacturers' instructions for the specific application. The Contractor will secure any other necessary permits and licenses required to do the work and comply with all City of Jacksonville and JEA code regulations at their own expense.
