Description | PREQUALIFICATION REQUIRED To be eligible for award of Lane County Federal Aid construction contracts, bidders (prime contractors) must submit a prequalification application to ODOT according to ODOT's Oregon Administrative Rules and prequalification procedures at least ten calendar days before the Bid Closing date. (See 00120.00.) This requirement will be strictly enforced. Prequalification must be in the class(es) of work indicated in the project's special provisions, and the bid booklet. The Agency will reject bids from bidders who are not prequalified for the class of work indicated. The Prequalification Application form and instructions are published on ODOT's website . All projects have minimum wage rate requirements. See Bid Booklet and the General Conditions for Construction for Lane County for more information. All federally funded projects have "BUY AMERICA" requirements. Submit all project specific technical questions through the BidExpress(R) website. All questions and answers will be visible by all Bidders as part of the bidding process. Project specific questions submitted using other means will not be considered or responded to. All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid guaranty in the amount of 10% of the total amount of the Bid. Each bid must be submitted on the required forms and be accompanied by Bid guaranty, in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008, or surety bond payable to Lane County. Bids, Bid modifications, and Bid withdrawals will not be accepted after Bid Closing listed above. This is a Federal-Aid Project. CLASS OF WORK: Earthwork and Drainage PROJECT COST RANGE: $2 mil - $5 mil COMPLETION TIME: December 31, 2024 MAJOR PAY ITEMS AND ESTIMATED QUANTITIES Req. approx. 8,100 yd3 general excavation; 3,400 yd3 stone embankment; 80 yd3 boulder excavation; 64 ft. 24 inch steel reinf. HDPE culvert pipe, 20 ft depth; 290 ft. 36 inch steel reinf. HDPE culvert pipe, over 20 ft depth; 6 MSE retaining walls; 1,050 yd2 cold plane pavement removal, 2 inches deep; 1,750 tons aggregate base; 1,000 tons level 3, 1/2 inch ACP mixture; 1,280 ft Midwest guardrail system-type 2A; 14 each guardrail terminals, non-flared; 350 each extra for 11 foot posts; 3,800 ft longitudinal pavement markings - paint. Lane County may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of Lane County that it is in the public interest to do so. |
